IBSF Board & future host countries announced

The new International Billiards & Snooker Federation Board elected on a 4 year term to fall in line with the Olympic movement.

Mubarak Al-Khayarin (President), Jim Leacy (Vice President), Mohammed El Kammah (General Secretary), Michael Alkhoury (Treasurer), Barrie Jones retains board position as Oceania Billiards & Snooker Federation regional President alongside EBSA regional President Maxime Cassis.

With regard to future IBSF championships, Malta will host the 2017 World Snooker Championship for Men, Women and Masters.

The 2017 World Team and 6 Reds will continue to be hosted by Egypt.

The 2017 IBSF World Under-18 and Under-21 Snooker Championships will be decided between Brazil and China.

The host country for the 2017 World Billiards Championship will be announced at later stages.
