Calling all Cricket (and Snooker) fans!

Former Australian test cricket captain and current patron of the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council

Ian ‘Chapelli’ Chappell has kindly donated an original ‘World Series Cricket’ cap signed by he and his Australian representative brothers Trevor and Greg, Greg himself being a former Australian test cricket captain.

World Series Cricket (WSC) was a break away professional cricket competition staged between 1977 and 1979 and organised by Kerry Packer for his Australian television network, Nine Network. The matches ran in opposition to established international cricket. World Series Cricket drastically changed the nature of cricket, and its influence continues to be felt today, many attribute WSC to enabling cricketers to earn a substantial living from their beloved sport.
