MASSIVE Congratulations to NSWs own Shaun Dailtz on winning the South Pacific Open Snooker Championship over the weekend at Club Marconi!

Shaun did it the hard way defeating defending champion and crowd favourite Joe Minici in the quarters, ex South Pacific winner and peoples champion Alan McCarthy in the semis and current Australian Billiards & Snooker Council National Champion James Mifsud 4-3 in the final!

Victorian Billiards & Snooker Association (VBSA) young gun Ryan Thomerson had the high break of 115

An extremely deserved victory after appearing in the big dance a few times previously but now finally coming away with the chocolates!

A full report will come shortly but many thanks to Club Marconi for their ongoing support of the South Pacific now in its 11th year, Mr Jim Ruisi for his tireless efforts an avid support of the championship and it’s players, ABSC Patron and former Australian Cricket Captain Ian Chappell for his kind donation and lining up the live cross to CH9s World Wide of Sports and Mr Cuesports himself multiple World Champion Robby Foldvari for taking the reigns, it was fantastic to see Australian Cuesports get the exposure it deserves

In regards to the raffle many thanks to Peter Hanley for the Custom Cues and again to ABSC Patron Ian Chappell for donating a slice of cricketing history, Roger Farebrother of Secret Wines for some class bottles of red, the players favourite referee Mr Frank Galanos for the bottle of spirits and M H Health Centre of Eastwood for the Massages as always it’s the cue sport community giving back each year
